This environmentally friendly house is filled with natural air and light.
The low impact ceiling fans and water heater are powered by four solar panels located on the roof . . . and for those who still need their touch of civilization, there is a TV and a VCR for your enjoyment.
There is a private bath and shower for guests, beautifully decorated in the traditional Mexican fashion. There is plenty of hot water so you can have a nice, long shower. Enjoy abundant natural light and fresh air in this amazing jungle setting.
Casa de la Selva (Jungle House) sleeps two adults and also has two hammocks suitable for small children. Owner Patti Borden lives on premises in the upper level and is at hand to cheerfully guide you on nature walks or tell you the history of the island. This is truly a unique getaway adventure !
Special Note: This is a true solar-powered house. There is NO outside power. This means there is a limited amount of power available per day. Please do not bring hair driers, or other electric appliances that draw a large current. We are trying to protect our environment; please help us in our cause.
